| The chip shop in this image was used by Laurel and Hardy when they were appearing at a theatre in Bolton during their tour in 1948, they stopped here every night for fish and chips before continuing on to their lodgings in Chorlton-Cum-Hardy, the road was part of the most direct route from Bolton to Chorlton-Cum-Hardy. |
