| Yes,Norton water tower.there was a tunnel connecting Norton to the Widnes side.Bill Riley,lived in the house adjoining the pumping station in Barrows green lane Widnes and would walk the tunnel to inspect the pipeline,whichpassed under the mersey and Widnes marshes.not sure where the entrance was.Bill played some rugby for Widnes. |
