An enterprising proper landlord would set up a type of rope pulley system so that walkers who are on the wrong side of the canal could have there refreshments sent over in a box.
And once it got known that this service was available people would be coming from miles around to try it out. |

| I think there is a bell you can ring and they send a little boat over for you. It's not too far to the bridge though if you are really hungry. |

| I agree with Maureen on this one,we eat there regularly and what a setting,beautiful.by the way Ithink the whole albums are fantastic and very interesting,only found them by chance |
