| Is this place where the old gasworks used to be? My dear old dad worked at the gasworks for several years, we lived in the prefabs just across the allotments from the works. I remember the retorts where he put the coal, the gas was taken out and the end product was coke. What happened to the gasometer that used to be there? Happy days, Lymm is a lovely place.
