Dead end. Such a shame.
Let us hope the 15 miles or so to Kendal will hopefully be restored. |

| Yes lets hope it is...we live very near the canal at the start of your journey..it is a beautiful part of Lancashire walking up to Tewitfield and since moving here i have seen so much wildlife and have helped litter pick to. My kids come out with me and the dogs and on a nice day it really is a great (free) day out. Lovely photos too |

| It's a lovely walk up the 8 locks at Tewitfield. The Lock house was at the top sadly demolished many years ago.My 3x Gt Uncle was Lock Keeper here for over 40 years in the 1800's |
